A while ago we announced our development of a Blender-based industrial design visualization system, codenamed "Elmyra". Elmyra will aid us to automate visualization tasks for our rapidly iterative and parallel camera hardware development. Time flies, so we want to give you a short review of what we've been up to and where we're headed now!
Two months ago we were at the Blender Conference in Amsterdam to provide a first glimpse of the system, giving some essential background information of our motivation and goals, as well as a brief live-demo.
Attending the conference allowed us to receive some valuable feedback regarding the direction we're heading and to gain some insights into similar projects under development. It further resulted in some interesting conversations about how people could benefit from the system and we're working hard to integrate as much as our tight time-budget allows us into the project.
Currently we put a lot of effort into providing a more user-friendly deployment process for Elmyra (also allowing more people to test-drive the system), closing some gaps (in terms of offered features) that still exist within the workflow offered by Elmyra, as well as fixing up some of the more obvious holes in the functionality, hopefully leading us to our first official Alpha release in the coming weeks. For the moment you can follow the development process on Github. Stay tuned!

Wow, that two column layout
Wow, that two column layout is the most confusing thing on web to date.
Agreed, especially for short
Agreed, especially for short text blocks its not ideal. We are working on a completely new website design/layout that should get rid of this :)

This is so cool for all workflows involving iterative 3D modeling!
